Harding Energy’s product quality and reliability are paramount in the design and manufacturing of battery packs and chargers. Harding Energy employees take great pride in our ISO 9001 Certified Quality System. In addition to consistently building defect free products, our engineering team is trained in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance the reliability of our products through better design. We also use our Maccor Testing Laboratory to test packs under simulated “real world” conditions to assure they will operate properly in the field.

Cell Selection
Selecting the proper cell has a significant impact on the performance, size, cost and the ultimate success of a portable device. Harding Energy offers a unique ability to offer its customers access to the best and most current cell technology in the world. Harding has in-depth specification information and knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of cells.
Design
Harding’s engineering team creates the optimal design and layout of battery management circuitry. Based on your specific battery management, safety circuits and control circuits we offer a variety of other options that can enhance the capabilities and value of your portable energy system. We take on the role of design partner for our customers, helping them make their product more efficient to produce, more effective to run, with longer lasting portable power.
Some battery packs are installed inside the product, and only require a shrink wrap enclosure. In some cases, battery packs are mounted externally and may serve a mechanical function, such as a base for a product. Our team has experience in designing battery enclosures of all types that will enhance the functional design of your product while assuring the battery passes the required protection functions such as a drop test, as well as environmental testing required to certify the battery pack for shipment.
Prototyping and Manufacturing
Harding ensures each prototype is tested thoroughly, before manufactured in volume at our assembly center in the US. If volume dictates, we have the advantage of our partner in Asia.
Custom Charger Development
Harding has the exceptional ability to develop custom chargers based on your battery pack design. The optimal charger will not only improve your pack performance, but will assure the useful life of the battery is maximized. Harding Energy can design and deliver custom chargers that will be efficient and safely charge your battery to full capacity and terminate charge at the appropriate time to enhance the life of your battery pack.
Product Introduction
Harding can assist with agency approvals of battery packs and chargers, conduct DOT testing for Lithium battery designs, and deliver initial run of battery packs and chargers.
Product Maturity
Harding can initiate cost reduction programs and develop off-short manufacturing relationships.
End of Life
Harding can provide after-market support, direct to user shipment, and battery disposal.
