Opel, a German car company owned by General Motor’s plans to introduce its first fully electric car in 2017. The Ampera-e is to have a longer range than most other battery-powered cars and be affordably priced.

A flat battery pack is mounted under the cars floor, which frees up enough interior room for five seats and the trunk size of a compact car.
